Dust, lantern light and a sky like old brass: Witherwood Thicket is a Western sim designed by Tolla Crisp and part of Frogmore. It is built around a river with a waterfall; red rocks frame the valley, with cacti, dry grass and bare trees in between.
Saddled horses wait at the trough in front of the wooden façades, a wanted poster hangs on a wall, and coloured lanterns cast their light on the cracked main street. A stagecoach rolls in between the rocks, and things get serious outside the Sheriff’s Office: the sheriff’s revolver is already drawn. A little way off stands a pink-painted freight wagon that has become a small home, with a campfire in front of it between benches and torches.
In autumn, Halloween touches blend into the Wild West, and the fog drifts between the houses up to the church tower at the end of the street. A place where every corner offers a new subject. The sim is currently open to group members only.
